Born in February of 1998, Connal got his first taste of performing as a Western Pleasure competitor, but it wasn't quite what he was looking for. Then, in the fall of 2010, he met Dylan Birtolo and joined the Seattle Knights equine line-up, and at last found his missing raison d'etre. Connal took to jousting training with gusto, hit the lists the following spring, and made it clear that he loves the knight life and was born to joust. Fearlessly facing bigger horses like Strider and Dante, Connal never backs down or gives up. He might be about the smallest horse on the field, but that just makes him more agile; he loves to whip around the turn at the end of the toil and charge right back in -- sometimes even with his knight still on his back! Connal loves attention, and accepts scritches and carrots with equal enthusiasm, as long as his proud owner, Dylan, is present.
